Hey all!!!
Well prejuge is over and I was in the LAST CALL OUT. I was very happy with how I looked. Yesterday I was drying out and getting vascular so I got to eat my cake and smoothed out but I felt like I was not too overmuscled on stage. There were girls with jacked delts and striated delts...hard and dry so I felt like I was doing OK but I guess my transformation wasn't good enough or maybe I just need to "pay my figure dues"...not sure, but then again...I am sure many of these figure girls have no idea how to look from show to show. For me? I feel a bit confused as to where to take this competition journey now...I think my heart lives in bodybuilding but this is easier and perhaps more realistic to maintain...it's great for buiness too. NIcki thinks that whatever I do I need to decide and just stay with it...if it's figure then just whittle away and keep at it...???? Maybe I just need to sit with it and see how I look in the off season after this...I don't like the "GIRTH" that goes along with BB in the off season....maybe I will just give it up to the universe to help me decide.....or maybe I will go back to BB for just one more show in TAMPA!!!!!!
I got a lot of great praise from the girls...I got several different critiques from people and am looking to get more feedback to see which way this goes. The head judge was Gary Udit and the rest of the judges were his expiditing team (which seemed odd to me to see them in the role of judge) and then there was Ernest from Iowa. Rick Lohre said I Just "had too much muscle"...others said "I was very graceful on stage and presentation was natural and awesome, elegant"...I was told I had a very feminine package"...my one piece suit "didn't flatter my physique (unproportionate?)..."looked longer in the 2 piece"...."don't squeeze your glutes AT ALL; just pooch out your butt and arch your back"(like a porn star I guess?)..."you're so much fun"...this is some of the feedback I have gotten so far.
It looks like 1,2,3 will be the same as last weeks Sacramento Pro with Michelle Flake, Mary Jo Cooke and Darlene Brown(not sure what order)..Brenda Smith looks to be taking 4th (my personal favorite, tiny waist, great delts, banging booty!)...Amy Peters is in the top 10...some petite hard physiques taking top ten. I can't wait to see some pictures to compare and see how I really look next to the girls...it's hard to tell when you are up there.
After the first round I wasn't sure if I was doing something really wrong after a bad call out but Nicki and the gang told me I did great and didn't look out of place so I felt better for round 2. Then Marcy Porter watched me do my model turns and reassured me that I looked great, natural and easy flowing up there. She was great backstage..very laid back and comforting. April also gave me some great posing advice. Elaine Goodlad is totally awesome...just as beautiful(laid back and natural) in person as in the mags!
So far this is a great learning experience...can't wait to go have some wine with the girls!!!!!!
The next BIG question is....what to do NEXT!?
