Good morning all!!

It's an absolutely beautiful fall day in the northeast...the kind that just puts you in a good mood when you open your eyes!! Such a blessing!

I wanted to update you all on the AC Pro. Itook a 6th place in a highly competitive field of light weights. Iwas very ahppy with that placing and my performance in Atlantic City. I felt much more comfortable on the pro stage this year...I felt like I belonged and with my placing felt like I hung tough wiht the "Big Girls".

We had a blast backstage visiting and hanging out. Debbie Bramwell, Deb L, Lisa Aukland, Joanna Thomas, Beth Roberts, Heather Foster, Lora Ottand, Emery Miler, Betty Viana, the Canadian contingent...we had a blast. Vicki Nixon was backstage taking pics for MD and of course, My Protan Chicas were working their tails off!

The highlight of my weekend was having my mom with me. She hasn't been feeling well this summer...difficulty breathing as she has emphazyma. She was a trooper...I hauled her around in the wheelchair with her O2 tank...everyone really made of her and remembered her from last year even! She had a great time eventhough she was super tired by Saturday evening.

I gave her a gold bangle to add to her collection. She always bought herself a gold bangle bracelet after I had won an amatuer event. When I turned pro she bought a bangle with diamonds in it. Since I have turned pro she hasn't had the opportunity to buy herself a bracelt so I did it for her this year! She was touched. I think she has many nice memories from the weekend adn I am blessed to have been able to give them to her.

We walked ont eh boardwalk on S"unday n the sunshine..it was a beuatiful day and one of those moments that I know I will think of often in years to come.

I did a coupel interesting shotoshoots..one wiht Gene who is phenominal. We shot n the roof of the Taj, admidst the oion dome rooftops...it shoudl prove iteresting. I also shot with a man named Maritn Schoeller. He has already done a coffee table book of famous people and politicians and is looking to do one with FBB. It was an interesting shoot in that I didn't have to felx, jsut look into his old fashioned type camera for about 20 minutes of shots. His mom was withhim from Germany and so she and my mom visited for the time. IT was pretty cool and I hope to be able to see myself inhis book next year!

All in all my experience was awesome. I am now looking to jump into a figure show at the end of the season. My trainer, Tim, feels I could be more competitive if I lost some muscle size and entered next year. I just wasn tot jump in now an dsee what the judges have to say about which directin I should go........it should be an interesting change for me......only cardio, no training, same diet...l.let's see what happens!?

Until next time

Good morning all!!

Here I am inAtlantic City, seitting inmy bed overlooking the beach and boardwalk. I am one day out from the Atlantic City Pro. My mom is with me. As I look out over the hustle and bustle of the early morning tourists and workers on the Atlantic City Boardwalk I can't help but to think how much has changed in my life in ONE year since my Pro Debut!

Life is forever amazing me...you really can NEVER tell what will happen in the future...it is soooo important to live EVERY day in the moment.

I am soooo grateful to have this opportunity to get on stage with the worlds best pro athletes in Bodybuilding..to be able to have my mom with me this whole weekend...have my friends around me (nicki, Debbie, Deb, Mary, Dave....many more)...I'm so blessed..it really doesn't matter what happens tomorrow on that stage except to enjoy the second, [ay attention to the minutes and be totally immersed in the day.

To those close to me who can't be here...you ware with me in my heart and spirit and thanks you soooo much for your constant support and caring....MUAH!!!!!

PS: Big ups to suit designer, Maggie Blanchard, for coming through for me and getting my night suit done in record time...it fits great and is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Hugs to Mags!!!!
Thanks you also to PROTAN for sponsoring my travels to the AC Pro!!!!! Couldn't do it without you!!!

HELLO!!!!!

Ok...I am not going to try to play catch up here since I haven't been on since JUNE!
Can you believe that summer is almost over? It has been a total whirlwind for me since my last writing. I have traveled ALL over for Protan...was gone pretty much every weekend in July at all the important shows and now....prepping to compete in ATLANTIC CITY on 9/15/07.

My life has been very different...I resigned from my 22 year position as a social worker for the state because I felt that my soul was suffering the consequences of the job and the atmosphere.....I feel soooooo free since I have left...now I am in transition....life changing....it is good, scary, exciting, overwhelming.....those are just a few of the emotions that have passed through me since this transition has occured....it's strange that with my life and finances being in limbo right now I don't feel totally panicked!?
I feel calm and optimistic that things will work out and everything will be OK...probably better in the long run...I do crave a bit of normalcy but really, what I am trying to do is pay attention to what I AM SUPPOSED to do...sometimes we are so busy being focused on what we THINK we are supposed to do that we don't pay attention to what we are MEANT to do......

...all this and I am prepping for a show...that seems like the least of my issues right now...it is the ONLY normalcy in my life right now....how strange...what once was such a huge big deal is just another day...almost a comfort (when I am not totally starving!!!)

So I am looking forward to bringing my mom to ATLANTIC CITY with me and make a nice weekend out of it....she nor my dad have been able to come see me (she used to) so it is very special to have her with me....really it is all about her...I even bought her a new gold bangle to add to her collection that she started when I started winning shows(I think she has seven now)...since I have turned pro, winning hasn't happened so she hasn't treated herself....so I DID IT FOR HER!!!!! She will be upset that I spent the money but...I wanted to do something special for her...she and my dad are such great support for me...not only in BB but in life...I really don't know what I would do without them....

The other big news in my life is that I am going to jump into a figure show at the end of the year. They are allowing IFBB women to cross over in the same year...not many FBB can do the cross so I want to be the first one..even if I do have toomuch muscle for figure...it just lends to my point as a pro...to prove that FBB can be marketable, pretty and feminine...why can't we do it all!!! GO FIGURE!!!!!

OK all....for those of you who have supported me and want to keep posted I vow to be better about updating my blog...I will let you knkow how it went in AC!!!!!
