OK. What a week!!
My shoot with Payiam went well but was much longer than expected. He is a very talented photographer and I am anxious to see the actual phots once he gets them to me. I will also get a "tear sheet" fromt he magazine. The German magazine: SLEEK, is very up-scale and artsy. It is a cool opportunity to be a part of this project, it lends to the marketability of female bodybuilding!!!! That was Monday and my drive home in the rains left from hurricane Wilma SUCKED!!!!!
Anyway the rest of my week flew by with time on my hands that I am not used to seeing I didn't have double cardios to do. My body is looking pretty tight at this point even iwth the increase in carb calories and less cardio. I am seeing big lines in my legs and fine lines all over my upper body. It is truely exciting and I can't wait to see what happens on 11/19!!!
I did make good use of my free time; went to bed early, had a massage, went to dinner with my mom. All things (except the massage!) that I don't have a chance to do usually during this time of the prep. I plan on enjoying a bit more time with freinds and family throughout this weekend, as I don't have to work and am staying put!!! Who knows what tim will have me doing come next Monday!!
My poor friends in Ft.Lauderdale/Hollywood Florida area!!! Big Bill Wilmore was flown out to Atlanta by theRoad To The Pros due to the city being in a state of devestattion!! it isn't really being reporte donthe news how bad things are down there. I spoke with CJ (CJ elite suits) and she is running everything off a generater. She was prepared. Still trying to get a hold of the people at Protan, Stacy Kaufman, but phone service is sporadic!! Prayers out tot hem. Thanks God For the RTP for getting Bill out so he can continue onhis quest for the pro card!!! He works so hard and is so deserving!!
i am looking forward to heading down to Tampa next weekend to relax with my people down there and see Tim!!
Other than that folks - we'll checkin later!

It's a rainy Sunday!!! Cold and grey, a far cry from sunny, hot Vegas last weekend!! I have gotten sleep I need and of course read up on how raised cortisol levels can be a direct result of lack of sleep, hence lending to a smoother look!!! Gotta get my sleep!!!!!
Did speak with German magazine photographer, Payaim and will be shooting with him tomorrow at the Strong & Shapely gym in E. Rutheford, NJ. Thanks to Bob Bonham - he loves letting the body builders shoot in his facility. Payaim is doing a project where he has been photographing extreme athlets that tend to take their sport into an almost 'spiritual" realm? Anyway - it is very idfferent exposure than what I have been used to. he wanted to find a female bodybuilder that he could find the "beauty" in her look for the photos! Making FBB more marketable!!!! YEAH!
after giving my trainer update photos yesterday he went ahead and gave me a cheat meal and adjustments for teh week. WOWO - they are very different than I an used to so I am excited. He was real happy! I felt very sick from the cheat; (Thai food and brownie sundae). Reminded me that I really don't need to eat like that! Just plain old ice cream would have been good??
Anyway guys! Off to do some cardio and make arrangments to go to NJ!!
Stay warm and stay safe out of the path of Wilma!!

Hey All!!
Well I think I have finally gotten back to my normal self. I was so tired and kind of emotional in the beginning of the week (by product of the trip to Vegas!) but I am feeling more like myself now!
I trained with my girl Nicki this week on Tuesday and Thursday. She really got me through this week!! We trained at Gold's Gymin Enfield on Tuesday. It is totally renovated and is agreat facility. I think I will head over there more often!! I was able to get all my contact kickboxing in as well. My sensi, Ritz, took some progress pics of me. I will get them on here for you to see, if I can figure out how!! I think I am a bit smooth from lack of sleep and water over last weekend?? I am sure things will adjust back to normal.
Justinian Miller a Road To The Pros athlete referred me to a German magazine for a photo shoot. So nice of him to think of me. I will be checking that out this weekend as well. This type of networking is just a few of the perks that go along with being a part of the RTP.
Jose Santiago helped me writie a proposal yesterday for my contest prep servcies. Hopefully I will be able to get that out to some companies to try to get some paid work this year, doing what I do best!!!
Well guys!
Have a great weekend if I don't check in and definately; Thank God It's Friday!!!

WOW!
I can't believe it has been so long since I updated!~!
I was so busy last week preparing to go to Vegas for the O!!! I guess I never had time to check in!
Anyway...I left for Vegas last Thursday (13th) and got home last night (morning) at 1 am!! It was a total whirlwind trip!! Being a part of the Road To The Pros was exciting and exhausting all at the same time. Jaye Hammet was very considerate to make sure we athletes were able to work out, eat our meals and do whatever we needed to in order to stay on track with our training. We were treated to Ruth Chris after some promotional photos on Thursday night. It was a great opportunity to meet some of the other athletes that are a part of this: Grigori Atoyan, Randy Jackson, Bill Wilmore, Corey Matthews, Justinian (from NY) and the many people behind the scenes (camera crew; Big Al!, asssistants; Connie and Schara). It was a trip to be sitting at dinner with the likes of Flex Wheeler, Steve Bleckman, John Romano, Tony Freeman just to name a few. I looked around and realized that this is a huge opportunity for me. Dorian Yates is coming on board and of course there is Shawn Ray. I had to keep reminding myself that I have a goal and had to stay on track.
Friday and Saturday at the expo were cool but flew by so fast. I worked the booth, talked to the people, watched the women's prejudge. Saturday was men's prejudge and Jaye Hammet let us all go to see that. We interviewed prospective people for this season and future episodes. It was overwhelming and busy!
Friday night was the Wildcard and good friend, David Henry won!!!! Winner take all..the 10 grand and the last qualifying slot for the O!!! How exciting! Friend Kim Kline took a second in fitness..up the ladder she goes, one rung at a time...you go gurl!!! Jenny Hendershot took first and Davana Medina took first in figure. Monica Brant looked so awesome...but third place was all they would consider for her.
Saturday at the expo (which is just bull____!) the women bodybuilders completed their quest for the O! Yoxini took the crown away form Iris Kyle. Dayana Cadeau took third. I was so impressed with Tonie Norman. She looked beautiful and it just gave me goose bumps to see her standing on that O stage..an inspiration for us Team U graduates!!!! I actually thought the lighter weight women (even though there were no weight classes, more bull____) looked much better than the bigger ladies. They were tighter without being too big. Rosemary Jennings, Ma han, Tonia Williams, Tonie...they all looked great and were an inspiration to me!! It is just too bad that they couldn't be seen on the big O stage. Of course we all know that Ronnie took the O on Saturday night. The production was a bit ghetto however, lapses in introductions and very disorganized looking. The challenge round, in my opinion, need to be canned. What a waste of time. At least the athletes got some money out of the deal but, please! They could give out money for other things that would make more sense.
I was able to enjoy some down time with friends; went to Pure with Richard Jones and his friends, met up with Lana Dora and her clan for dinner on Saturday. Got together with Team Body Tech member, Marcus Haley on Saturday night at Chris Cormiers' party. Defiantely a fun time to be had...not to worry all...I stayed on track, ate clean, did ALL my cardio and trained. No drinking (only diet coke)...just a lack of sleep.
I had the opportunity to train with Grigori from the RTP on Saturday. It was a great workout and fun time training with the big boys!! He told the crew that I had a lot of drive for a little one. Thanks G$$$! He is a cool cat.
It was a highlight also to have dinner with Lana and the muscle mayhem crew: Rick Parker and his girl, Doc Shoot and his girl, Big Luke Wood, Kim Perez, Flex (not wheeler, from Yates nutrition), Natalie and Adam, Nida, sweet Mari, Lana and her peeps!! Wished I could have hung tough to go to the ghost bar but I had to be a good girl and listen to Big BillWilmore and go home. The body needed rest!
Sorry such a long blog guys!! Too much to report.
Will get some rest and get back into the groove and check in regularly!!
talk to ya all soon - train hard!

Hey all!

Well the week is almost done and I am feeling exhausted!! But I have had awesome workouts this week! I trained On Monday inTampa at Body Tech with Hugo Rivera who is also preparting for Nationals and is a Team Body Tech member. We did hamstrings and it was an awesome workout. Once I returned home I have scheduled my Tuesday /Thursday training sessions with my old training partner and best friend, Nicki Jamrog. We kicked serious shoulders. I was so sore!!!!!!!! having her great vibe around me will definately get me through the next 8 weeks! Thanks Nick.
I have been feeling strong and have gone heavy with all my lifting so far. I have also gotten in my double cardios consistently for the past week. Thanks to Scott Cook, physical trainer extrodinaire!! He worked on my tendons in my right leg below the knee and I have been able to do cardio with NO PAIN!!!!!! He just so happended to have a beautiful wife who won the Florida overall, Diana and was at the Hurricane. Boy does it pay to be in the right place at the right time (complaining at the dinner table in front of a Physical Therapist!!!).
I have to give a shout out to Gold's West Side. They are the bomb! Steve (the owner) is preparing for a show as well and he is just a shredded nugget already!!!! He will be competing at the Eastern USA in NYC the weekend before me. My gym has been awesome to me, offering to help in any way they can and providing me with suppliments. I can't say enough about how great it makes me feel to have their support. Thanks GOLD'S WEST SIDE!!
I also have to make a correction; my photo shoot last Thursday in Tampa was with Chip Weiner (I called him Cliff!). I have to apologize for the mistake, I guess I was low carbs that day!!! He sent me a proof and what an awesome job he did. Keep an eye open in my galleries for his work. My webmaster is on vacation for a couple weeks but I am hoping that my gallery section will be fully functional once he returns (sometimes after the O!).
have a great day guys and train hard!!

Happy Monday everyone!!
Well I am still in Tampa but I couldn't wait to log on and update everyone about my weekend at the Hurricane Bay!!! It was quite a busy weekend.
The show was a huge success. There were more people in attendance than every before, over a thousand at night!! The caliber of contestants was unbelievable for a regional show! But then again - that's Florida for you! Bodybuilding friendly!!! Marcus Haley made a guest appearance and took the house down. He gave a very moving testimonial as well. It was really motivational for me to be here while in contest prep mode!! It always is. Team Body Tech has such a great vibe! My dear freinds down here are such a blessing in my life!! I can't thankTim and Brandie Gardner enough for welcoming me into their gym and home. Of course, Mimi Holleman - she is forever there for me!!!

The Road To The Pros came in on Friday afternoon and filmed that evening and all day Saturday. It was pleasure actually hanging out with Al Freeman and Michelle Davis. They were really cool and I didn't even remember the camera (or mike) was on sometimes (that might not be a good thing!). Anyway - I think they were impressed with how things are run down here. I spoke with Jay Hammet, producer, and he was in Texas with the film crew that was filming Big Bill Wilmore and Grigori trainig with Big Ronnie! He was real excited about how things are going! Al will be visiting me about weekly he thinks. It appears that they are still working out the bugs and trying to figure out what is the best way to film, etc.. I think they will take the footage back to teh ATL and make decisions from there. I found myself just talking (too much!) all the time..they thought it was good??? Who knows...but I guess I can't be anyone else but me...??? It was along day Saturday and they left out first thing Sunday morning so I wasn't able to tour them around Tampa. Maybe next time!!
I look forward to seeing how things work out and what will come next!

So Sunday was a rest day and today it is back to Springfield!!
Will check in later
Peace!
