My figure debut is over...I can tell you one thing...those poor girls WAIT AROUND IN THOSE HEELS....ALOT!!!! It was a LONG night and got a bit boring backstage but I tried to keep up the energy...shared my wine and met a lot of fun girls. Many of these ladies I have oiled up on a national level stage before but hanging out wiht them was a different vibe! It's hard not to fall into my "role" as backstage helper though...I feel so compelled to tuck in a string or glue in a but..I tried to restrain.
I got a couple critiqus; Tricky Jackson and Roland Hugh both thought I fit right in on the figure stage...they did not think I was too muscular but then a couple people still thought I was. It is going back and forth. A couple people just don't want to see me leave BB as they feel I am good for the sport?

After the show, Dave and NIcki, Marcy, Q and I went out to the Hard rock to eat and that is where I got to have my COSMOS!!!!! They did the trick..the wine didn't seem to perk me up as much and I felt much better. I think that getting a visit from Auntie Flo (wink, wink) today (SURPRISE!) really started messing with my emotions. Great..another thing to deal with as a figure competitor!!!! That's enough to make me go back to BB...QUICK!!
After the Hardrock we went to the ROCK BAR, where Brent JOnes hosted the after party. I have never heard ALL rock and Roll in a ance club...it was different but the vibe from the athletes was great...it was nice to see everyone in a relaxed venue and a lot of athletes did show up! We stayed till about 2 ish I think...the bars in Louisville stay open till 4am!! Who would have thought that Louisville was such a hard party place!???
So today we are gonna ust hang out and watch football somewhere tillwe have to leave. This has been a great experience for me...I like how my physique came out, got a great critique from one juge, and now....I HAVE A DECISION to make....I guess I amjust gonna relax with it and give it up to the universe...it hasn't led me wrong yet...
Gotta listen to my heart
Have a great Sunday all!

Here are a couple pics from the day in Louisville!!

Hey all!!!

Well prejuge is over and I was in the LAST CALL OUT. I was very happy with how I looked. Yesterday I was drying out and getting vascular so I got to eat my cake and smoothed out but I felt like I was not too overmuscled on stage. There were girls with jacked delts and striated delts...hard and dry so I felt like I was doing OK but I guess my transformation wasn't good enough or maybe I just need to "pay my figure dues"...not sure, but then again...I am sure many of these figure girls have no idea how to look from show to show. For me? I feel a bit confused as to where to take this competition journey now...I think my heart lives in bodybuilding but this is easier and perhaps more realistic to maintain...it's great for buiness too. NIcki thinks that whatever I do I need to decide and just stay with it...if it's figure then just whittle away and keep at it...???? Maybe I just need to sit with it and see how I look in the off season after this...I don't like the "GIRTH" that goes along with BB in the off season....maybe I will just give it up to the universe to help me decide.....or maybe I will go back to BB for just one more show in TAMPA!!!!!!

I got a lot of great praise from the girls...I got several different critiques from people and am looking to get more feedback to see which way this goes. The head judge was Gary Udit and the rest of the judges were his expiditing team (which seemed odd to me to see them in the role of judge) and then there was Ernest from Iowa. Rick Lohre said I Just "had too much muscle"...others said "I was very graceful on stage and presentation was natural and awesome, elegant"...I was told I had a very feminine package"...my one piece suit "didn't flatter my physique (unproportionate?)..."looked longer in the 2 piece"...."don't squeeze your glutes AT ALL; just pooch out your butt and arch your back"(like a porn star I guess?)..."you're so much fun"...this is some of the feedback I have gotten so far.

It looks like 1,2,3 will be the same as last weeks Sacramento Pro with Michelle Flake, Mary Jo Cooke and Darlene Brown(not sure what order)..Brenda Smith looks to be taking 4th (my personal favorite, tiny waist, great delts, banging booty!)...Amy Peters is in the top 10...some petite hard physiques taking top ten. I can't wait to see some pictures to compare and see how I really look next to the girls...it's hard to tell when you are up there.

After the first round I wasn't sure if I was doing something really wrong after a bad call out but Nicki and the gang told me I did great and didn't look out of place so I felt better for round 2. Then Marcy Porter watched me do my model turns and reassured me that I looked great, natural and easy flowing up there. She was great backstage..very laid back and comforting. April also gave me some great posing advice. Elaine Goodlad is totally awesome...just as beautiful(laid back and natural) in person as in the mags!

So far this is a great learning experience...can't wait to go have some wine with the girls!!!!!!

The next BIG question is....what to do NEXT!?

HELLO from the Bluegrass state!

I am here in Louisville getting ready to put onmy glass slippers and grace the pro figure stage! I am getting pretty excited too! I feel very pleased with the changes I made to make this debut and I am going to have some fun. Nicki and Dave, Q, Marcy are all here..we are getting ready to go have the "last supper"...I get 2 glasses of wine tonight...figure girls have it so much more fun!!!!!lol

Maggie Blanchard outdid herself with my suits. She blinged out my two piece from Atlantic City and made me a GORGEOUS coral suit that is bejewled like a princess!!! I have Raven's heels, my gurl Nicki's bling cuff and my mom's diamond C for jewlery! I feel like I am going to a prom!!!hehehehehe

I was just looking at the pictures of the girls form Sacramento...they are all beautiful but I am just not sure how the judges judge figure. I hope I am not too hard....I guess as long as I like how I look...then so be it!? It's a funny sport...the judges might take a lok at me and not be able to get it out of their mnds that I am a bodybuilder?? Who knows? So the goal is...HAVE A BLAST...MAKE NEW FREINDS...ENJOY AND LEARN!!!!!

I will try to keep you all posted and give you a couple pics up on here if I can!!
Thanks for all the support both on here an don myspace...it's overwhelming to me!

Ciao for now

Hello everyone!
It is definately starting to feel winter-ish here in the Northeast! The temperature has dropped, the leaves are dropping, the wind is blowing, it's getting dark early (boo-hoo) and the heat is kicking on!!!! I guess it was inevitable, eh???

I am feeling pretty excited though...I will be traveling to Kentucky to make my pro figure debut this weekend. I am just starting to feel like I look like a figure chick....I wished I could look like this all year...it's great for business!!! I have shrunk a bit of muscle and am holding a bit of water...I still have lines but the feedback I am getting is that I am not as big or hard as usual...so I guess I have achieved my goal...now we just have to see if the judges think so??? Wouldn't that be a kick if I did well in figure?
I have not lifted a weight (except for the occasional shoulder workout just so I wouldn't freak out too much!) and an introductory body pump class that I took to see if I want to get certified to teach it. I have maintained double cardios, agility and glute/ham work and of course the diet...which seemed alot easier until today!!! I have taken several different group ex classes at my gyms too..this has helped with agility and also helped me to feel more balanced...now that I have some time I like trying the different classes..it helps me to get the work out in and also to be able to refer clients according to their likes and goals!
I cannot wait to get to Kentucky; Dave and Nicki will be coming in along with Q, Franco and Natalie and of course Gnat lives there. Mary Porter will coming in too. I am really looking forward to the celebration; eating , drinks and visiting with friends! I feel like it's been awhile since I was able to really relax!

Things on the home front are going great...I have been i the gym alot more and Gold's West Side is sooo awesome to me. I have been doing some work for them in return to train my people...I'm gong to be taching some classes as well and am really looking forward to that a it willb e a change from what I am so used to doing in the gym. I love the atmosphere at the gym and love working with the people that have crossed my path!!! I cna't thank Steve and Frank enough for the support they have given me and I am sure that this relationship will benefit all of us!!!
My gut tells me that once the first of the year hits I should be transitioned pretty nicely into my new life!!!
Mom and dad are hanging in...mom has trouble breathing but she is eating better an always trying to have a great attitude. I had a bout with the intestinal flu and I think the change in weather has my throat and sinuses acting up (or maybe it's just that I need some nice home made apple pie!)...nothing that doubling up on the vitamin C and Zinc hoepfully can ward off!!!

OK all....so for now...stay tuned..once I get back formt Kentucky and being all glamourous it will be off to Nationals in Dallas but I will try to check in!!!
